Autumn/winter 16 shape trends

Strongly influenced by 80s-90s style, shapes are amplified this season with an oversized and elongated effect resounding through all patterns.

Streetwear also makes its return into seasonal collections with the reemergence of sweatshirts, hoodies and jersey dresses that are styled with urban profiles like skinny jeans. Bomber and varsity jackets also cast a sphere of influence.

Neo-victorian style notes are emphasised with the presence of decorative ruffles seen in knitwear, shirts and blouses with a retro/bohemian edge. Get carried away with retro charm pussy-bow collars and puff balls sleeves for added seasonal allure.

It's all about proportion as 90s extra-long silhouettes are repurposed with extended length trousers, dresses, sleeves and coats. This trend is subtly represented in children's collections.
