Lyon: New women overalls pattern
Lyon, the comfortable overalls
Dungarees are all about regression and comfort, and we love them!
Ikatee now offers LYON, our new women's overalls pattern in sizes 0 to 20 (US sizes) / 32 to 52 (French sizes). Lyon comes in 3 lengths (pants, Bermuda shorts, or shorts), with 2 possibilities for straps, side openings, and pocket options.
This pattern is available in paper or PDF format, with the projector file included in the last one. As usual, a free-access video tutorial (with English subtitles) accompanies the pattern.
Are overalls a fashion statement?
Originally a work garment, immortalized by Chaplin in "Modern Times", dungarees became unisex when women had to replace men at work during the Second World War. Since then, overalls have become an iconic piece of wardrobe, worn over the years by celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, the French actress Sophie Marceau in "La Boum", Jennifer Aniston in "Friends" and the model Alexa Chung, and regularly featured in trendy looks.
They can be worn over a tank top, a t-shirt, a loose blouse, or a chunky sweater for the trendiest wearers, and they pair perfectly with a long blazer, sneakers, nude shoes, boots, or heels.
