CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / LOGIN / REGISTRATION

  • I can't log into my customer account, what should I do?

If you receive our communications, it means you are subscribed to our newsletter. This does not necessarily mean that you have an account with Ikatee. You can create one here.

To log in, you need to enter your email address (login) and your password. Once logged in, you will have access to your previous purchases (including PDF sewing patterns that you can download again!).

If you have lost your password, you can reset it here.

ORDER / PURCHASE

  • How to buy:
  1. Add products to your cart.
  2. Once you have finished your selection, validate your cart and create a customer account if you haven't already done so.
  3. Click on "Continue to Shipping" to choose your shipping method.
  4. Complete your purchase. Be careful, the choice of the pickup point is made after the payment.

Now all you have to do is wait for your order to be delivered!

  • Why am I unable to add more fabric to my cart?

If you can't add more fabric to your cart and see the message "maximum quantity reached," it means the displayed quantity corresponds to the remaining stock.

  • I want a fabric sample to help me decide. Can I order one?

Unfortunately, we do not offer fabric samples. If you’d like us to advise you on a match between two products, feel free to contact us, and we will try to assist you!

How can I pay?

You can pay by credit card, bank transfer, or check.

  • If you're in a hurry, the fastest option is to pay by credit card.
  • For payment by bank transfer or check, your order will be processed upon receipt of the transfer confirmation or check. This can take some time, even for instant transfers!

DELIVERY

  • What are the shipping costs and delivery times?

We offer free shipping to a Mondial Relay pickup point for orders over €100 in Germany, Spain, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

For orders below these amounts, you can choose between delivery to a Mondial Relay pickup point (from €5.50) or home delivery via Colissimo (from €8).

We ship orders within 24 to 72 hours, excluding promotion or sale periods. Once your order is ready, we hand it over to our carriers. After the parcels are scanned, for mainland France, it takes an average of 3 to 6 working days for Mondial Relay and 48 hours for Colissimo.

  • How do I choose a pickup point when ordering?

If you choose delivery to a pickup point, please note that the selection is made after payment. Stay on the page until the message "Choose my pickup point" appears.

If you want to consult the list of Mondial Relay pickup points before payment, you can find it here.

  • I didn't choose a pickup point when ordering; where will my order be delivered?

Is your order not yet shipped? There is still time to email us specifying your preferred pickup point!

If you didn't choose a pickup point when we create the shipping label for your order, we will select the closest available pickup point to your address. You will find the address of your pickup point through the tracking link that will be sent to you.

  • I live in the French overseas territories, can you ship my order?

Unfortunately, due to many delivery issues in the past for orders shipped overseas, we no longer offer this option. You can still enjoy our PDF patterns!

RETURNS / EXCHANGES

  • I've changed my mind about a product, can I exchange it?

Digital or cut products are neither returned nor exchanged. For paper patterns, we can exceptionally offer an exchange if the pattern is new and unused. In this case, please contact us with your order number and the reason for the exchange (duplicate purchase, size error) at contact@ikatee.com.

  • One of the items I ordered has a defect, what should I do?

Oops! Did a defect escape our notice? Send us an email at contact@ikatee.com, and we will find a solution!

  • I didn't receive the haberdashery items I ordered, what should I do?

If you don't find the haberdashery items in your shipment bag at first glance, we invite you to fully unfold all the fabrics. We hide the haberdashery items between two folds to prevent them from getting lost during the preparation and shipping of your order.

PRODUCTS

  • What will I receive when I purchase a pattern in PDF format?

You will receive a download link by email allowing you to download your files 5 times. The files are in PDF format, and you can then print them at home or at a printer’s.

The pattern is sent in A0, A4 with all sizes, and A4 per size. We also offer a video projection version.

Ikatee patterns are reserved for purely family use. We thank you for not sharing them!

  • I just subscribed to the newsletter, but I didn't receive the free pattern, why?

We invite you to check your spam and promotions tab in your mailbox. If you still can't find your pattern, you may not have validated your newsletter subscription. You should have received an email with a "confirm your subscription" button; be sure to click on it. Your email should arrive shortly after.

We only offer one pattern upon the first newsletter subscription. If it's not your first subscription, you won't receive the pattern.

  • I just purchased a PDF pattern. I didn't receive it, why?

We invite you to check your spam and promotions tab in your mailbox; our emails sometimes end up there! If you still can't find your pattern, it's possible that the payment didn't go through.

You should have received a payment confirmation for credit card payments. For check or bank transfer payments, please wait until we receive the payment and manually validate the order. It's also possible that there was a typo in your email address; in that case, contact us at contact@ikatee.com.

  • I received the tutorial for my PDF pattern in French, why?

All our patterns have a tutorial in French and a guidebook in English. Be sure to download all the files of your PDF pattern; the English tutorial is included there.

  • I bought the paper version of a pattern, and I want the PDF version, is it possible?

Unfortunately, no. Purchasing a paper pattern does not grant access to the PDF version. Each version requires specific layout work for dedicated files. The paper version is printed and placed in an envelope. The PDF version is offered in individual-size files, multi-size files, in 2 printing formats, and for projection.

  • I purchased a pattern, and I just saw that there has been an update since, how can I access it?

If you purchased a PDF pattern, a link was sent to you during the update to download the new version. Otherwise, you can access it in your customer account, in the order history, and download your pattern again.

Unfortunately, we do not send updates to customers who purchased the paper version of the patterns. The field of sewing pattern creation is similar to that of publishing, and just like when a book is updated, the publisher doesn't send the new version to all buyers.

  • Where can I find the fabric requirements for my sewing project?

All the necessary fabrics and haberdasheries for sewing our patterns are in the "supplies" section at the bottom of the product page of the model. Otherwise, all information is also available in the tutorial under the « Fabrics Recommendations & Supplies » section.

  • Are seam allowances included in the patterns?

Yes! Unless otherwise indicated, seam allowances are included, generally 0.7 cm for babies and children and 1 cm for women's patterns.

  • Which size should I choose for my project?

In stores, people often buy a size larger than their child’s age. At Ikatee, for babies and children, we size by "actual" age: if your child is 6 months old, you should sew them size 6 months! The most important measurement is your child's height. You can use our size guide to choose the right size.

For women, our patterns are created based on standard commercial sizes. But depending on your body shape and the piece you've chosen to sew, this can vary! Take your measurements (bust, waist, and hips) and refer to our size chart to choose the most suitable size. If you're between two sizes, choose the one you usually buy in stores.

STORES / RETAILERS

  • I want to visit your workshop for shopping, how do I make an appointment?

Whether you’re in Lyon or visiting from afar and you want to come for an hour of shopping? Appointments can be made here. It's an opportunity to (re)discover our patterns, labels, and more, benefit from our advice, admire the sewn garments and marvel at our beautiful fabrics. Please note, that an hour goes by quickly! We recommend browsing the website before coming to fully enjoy this special moment.

  • Where can I find your patterns?

Our patterns are available in a wide network of haberdashery stores, both in France and abroad. The complete list is available here.

COMMERCIAL USE

  • I want to sell garments made from Ikatee patterns, is it possible?

The use of Ikatee patterns is strictly personal and for family use. We are a small company that puts our heart into our work. We spend a lot of time creating our patterns to ensure they are of high quality, and the profits we derive from selling our patterns allow us to continue supporting our team of 5 people! Our goal as a company is to enable sewists to learn and sew clothes for themselves and their loved ones. Commercial use of our patterns goes against this approach.
