Good Sew

This was my first purchase from Ikatee (I did make the free Vega jacket, cute pattern also) and I enjoyed the make. There were a few different techniques the made me think but, were not difficult at all and made a nice challenge for me. I am from The USA and a few of the terminologies were different than what I was used to but, I didn't have any trouble understanding what was wanted of me. (I think that there may have been a couple of errors in the instructions regarding labeling but not with instruction procedures.)
I made a size 8 for my 7 1/5 year old granddaughter and I had to lengthen the shorter version dress 7" to fall at her mid knee. The width was fine. I must say that I do have to lengthen most any brand pattern for 9 our of 10 of our grandkids.
I was glad to find a pattern company that offered a good variety of designs for kids. (not just the same pattern over again with different add-ons) I have made 2 pattern from Ikatee so far and I am sure I will make some more. My granddaughter was happy to see her dress that I made her in a premium cotton with buttons up the front, her favorite. Another granddaughter has put in her order for one.

Summer dress update

Just a note to suggest that it is important to check the length as my daughter found the the dress to be above the knee which wasn't obvious from the photo. I would add a few inches if I make it again.

Sweet summer dress

I recently made the Anna pattern for 2 grandchildren, one in a printed cotton and the other in a striped cotton/ rayon blend. I liked both of them but as they are the short-sleeved summer version I have yet to get them to the girls to see how they fit. The instructions were easy to follow and the only really time consuming section was the tie sleeves. The PDF pattern didn’t seem to print properly from my MacBook computer but was fine from my iPad. I have only used digital patterns twice and I now find using a small paper cutter sped the process up considerably. I’m happy to have found Ikatee patterns as the tutorials are also helpful.

Cute basic dress

I made this dress for my 8 year old granddaughter in a yarn dyed woven cotton. The pattern is detailed, with great illustrations, goes together nicely, and the dress is adorable/comfortable. Since it was my first time using and Ikatee pattern, I needed to read the pattern carefully and be mindful of some of the translation quirks! Since the measurements are cm not inches I had to keep checking the conversions! But, I plan to make it several times more, so will get faster! Definitely recommend this pattern for a versatile dress.

Basic yet stylish

I made matching dresses using a mid weight linen and am pleased with the results as are the grandchildren wearing them. The pattern is very well written and easy to follow. Ikatee has a very good product, one that I will follow.
