Baby unisex PDF Sewing Pattern and Guidebook

Sewing pattern for babies. Unisex.
Comfortable fleece sweatshirt.
Placket at shoulder.
Rib at collar, cuffs and body bottom
Optional fancy patched pockets (sheep or cat), pocket opening from the top of the sheep or cat's head, ears in volume.
Optional kangaroo chest pocket (side openings)
Optional armhole ruffles (bonus available on the website)
A unisex sweatshirt convenient for all seasons

Sewing level: easy to intermediate

What you will practice with this sewing pattern: how to sew rib, how to sew a placket at shoulder, how to sew fancy pockets.
A video is available in free access (IN FRENCH ONLY) on the site including the complete assembly of the garment. 

Age range: 6, 12, 18 & 24 months, 3 and 4 years

Material suggestions:

  • Fab 1 : fleece, French terry, polar fleece, heavy jersey
  • Fab 2 : flat knit rib or tubular rib for collar, cuffs and bottom bands
  • For pockets : knits (jersey, french terry or fleecepolar fleece) or fake furfelt or fake leather for ears. Avoid wovens (that need to be overlocked)

Easy to follow tutorial

nice sweat shirt - but not such a good fit

I am an advanced beginner, but I never made a placard. I struggled to to this using included instructions in guidebook, I had to do it using logic and trials. I find the instructions not as clear as I have used for some other high end brands, e.g. attaching the neck, wait and sleeve bands using these instructions would have been a challenge. I finished it then very quickly once I worked out the placard, but the fit isn't perfect. My granddaughter is 20 months, usually she fits 18 months. Somehow the proportions don't work on her. The two year size was not oversized as expected, it is a bit wide around the shoulders but almost a bit tight around the belly. It would have been nicer a bit wider around the waist, more 'A'-line. This said, I will use the pattern again - but with adjustments.

Je sais que j’ai bien reçu le patron Sinatra en pdf et j’en suis très contente. Mais je ne sais pas ce que j‘Si fait faux mais je n’ai plus que la version 18 mois à imprimer Et les tutoriels. Impossible de retrouver pour les autres âges....
que puis je faire? Merci

Easy to make.

This looks great. Easy to make. No need to add ribbed cuffs. Have made lots of tops, cheap to make and practical.
