Looks relatively uncomplicated but I haven’t attempted it yet

I loved the look of this pattern but have not had a chance to make it yet. The pattern looks relatively uncomplicated so that impresses me too. I hope to make it soon for my 1 year old grand daughter. Thank you for the great variety of patterns.

The only trouser pattern you need!

I've made at least 20 versions of these as either shorts or trousers now and they are incredible. They make up wonderfully fast and I love the option to add pockets as you chose. Without any pockets I can run up a pair of these in less than an hour which is amazing for nursery basics. They fit really well- my son is tall and relatively slim but I think chubbier babies would also be fine. I've tried the trouser offerings from multiple companies and not found a pattern that comes close to this good. So far I've made them in every size up to two years.

Great staple pattern for years to come!

So far, I've sewed two pairs of New York pants in chambray with different options and one pair of shorts in french terry. The pattern is very versatile, works with knits and wovens and fits true across different sizes (24 months in diapers & a skinnier 4Y). I can see many more pairs in the future, you can sew very casual versions but also more cute or formal versions. The kids have a lot of room to move in , New York pants are just so comfortable! The video tutorial was nice, but you could definitely just follow the illustrated steps in the pattern tutorial.
I also want to mention that Ikatee's customer service is brilliant, I had a few questions regarding sizing (and my wish for an overview of finished garment measurements) and am very satisfied with the answers and the speed of the response I received.
