What you will learn with this pattern: how to make a button placket integrated into the body or attach a facing, apply bias tape to the neckline and sleeve bottoms for the bias option, and sew optional pockets.

Size range for women  :  34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46 (French size)

Age range for kids : 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 years

 

Women's Size Guide:

This model is offered in sizes 34 to 46 for an average height of 165 cm. It is recommended to first take your measurements and choose the most suitable pattern size. If you are hesitating between two sizes, it is better to choose the larger of the two.

Material suggestions:

 

  • Fabric 1: knit or woven (warp and weft)

          Sweatshirt fabric, French terry, Milano knit (Ponti Roma), heavy jersey, fleece,              quilted jersey or fabric, knitted or woven denim, jacquard.

  • Optional fabric 2: poplin for the facing of version B.


Pattern note:

If you choose version A in a NON-stretch fabric, you will need to lengthen pattern piece No. 4 (bottom band) by 1 cm for children and 3 cm for women because it is originally designed for a stretch fabric and is shorter than the width of the bottom of the cardigan to be stretched when attached. Therefore, for a non-stretch fabric, you will need to lengthen the band piece.
