I love sewing this dress for both my girls ! Instructions were well detailed and I learned new skills :) I chose a poplin fabric (to match a dress I made for myself) and a plumeti lining. Would definitely recommend Ikatee’s pattern (and I have a few others to try !)

I loved making this dress. I don’t have lots of experience sewing but found the instructions easy to follow and learned new things. I will definitively make more dresses and perfect my skills.

Such a lovely style of dress - I made it in a double gauze which worked really well. The instructions were clear and the video really helped, I liked that the video has chapters so you can go straight to the section you need. As I made the smallest size, I followed the alternative method for bagging out and finishing the bodice. I struggled with the small seam allowances when putting the little bow ties together, but got there in the end. Will definitely be making this again.

This is my first attempt at sewing clothes for my girls, ages 8 and 11. I struggled with the written instructions for the half lining. I have never tried the burrito method before. Thankfully there is an instructional video that shows how to construct the entire dress. Even though the video is in French, I found the visual instruction very easy to understand. I really like the way the dress is finished with the half lining and french seams. I have a serger but I found the finishing methods for the Violette dress produces a more polished, quality garment.

The instructions are well written and easy to follow. I used a 100% cotton fabric and fashioned a dress for a two year old using the smallest pattern outline, size 3.
