What you will practice with this bloomer sewing pattern: how to sew elasticated thigh casings, to elasticate a waistband, to sew removable shoulder straps.

Material suggestions:

  • Woven: poplin, batiste, plumetis, double gauze, viscose, linen, light denim, chambray, seersucker, corduroy, flannel, soft wool sheet
  • Knit: jersey, light fleece, French terry, pointelle knit
  • Swimsuit : lycra

Nice pattern

The pattern worked fine andcame out nicely
Don’t think baisbinding needed for leg elastic on the shorts if you add a bit and just fold over it will work great as the curve is not difficult to sew
Sewing instruction can be improved on but will be perfect for a beginner

Fabric and trims:

  • 1.5 cm (⅝") elastic for the waistband
  • 5 mm (¼") elastic for the thighs
  • Thin fusible interfacing for the shoulder straps option
  • 4 buttons for the shoulder straps option
  • Decorative buttons for the placket(s) option
