Brushed sweatshirt fabric, French terry... What are they?
We know that it's not always easy to visualize fabrics and their weights in order to select the ideal fabric for a specific project! That's why we've gathered all the fabrics we've used to sew this pattern, as well as those we imagine for your creations. Bonus: matching ribbing is also available to make your online choices easier. When it comes to haberdashery, it can be difficult to find zippers of the right length: thanks to our video tutorial, learn how to easily shorten all your zippers: a handy tip that you can reuse for many other projects!
If you want to add inserts in different colors, we recommend using fabrics of equivalent weight for a harmonious finish. On the product page, under the supplies table, you will find tips on how to calculate the amount of fabric needed per color: it's easy, everything is taken care of!

This pattern is designed to be sewn in knit fabric, a stretchy and comfortable material. You can make it in French terry, brushed sweatshirt fabric, terry cloth, Milano knit, or even jersey. The choice of fabric will depend on the style you want and the season for which you are sewing it! For winter, opt for a warm and cozy result with brushed sweatshirt fabric of varying thickness, Milano knit, fleece, or even sherpa on a knit base for an ultra-comfortable jacket. For mid-season, the Liverpool pattern is perfect for French terry, terry cloth, or quilted jersey.
