Love the finished dress! Pattern instructions were a little confusing from our Canadian sewing system.

This is my third Ikatee pattern I have Stella and Lyon which were good to sew. With Toronto I started by cutting some pieces the wrong way as it is asymmetrical. I made 3 years with needlecord Some of the stitching on the neckline and strap didn't hold. I've decided not to use it again as I was quite frustrated by the end.
This has not put me off Ikatee they are beautiful pattern thank for sharing them with us.

Excellent tutorial.

Good quality patten. Very easy to make and looks great. I used the tutorial and although it is in French there were English subtitles. This helped especially with the lining.
Would recommend.

I made this pattern (version 1) using fine wale corduroy in a girl's size 7. As I was completing it for my granddaughter I thought it appeared quite small. When she tried it she found it a struggle to get over her head and put her arms through even though the neckline and armholes are large. Once on it looked sweet- the length was perfect and the style flattering. Be aware that the cut is fairly form fitting and this is on a child who is of average weight. Next time I will make the button front version.
