Fabrics:

Main fabric: cotton fabric such as gabardine or denim (for parkas or jackets), synthetic fabric like polyamide, thicker or thinner polyester and coated fabric (for waterproof items), or water-repellent fabrics (for lightweight windbreakers or “bomber”-style jackets).

Lining: (for the hood and pocket bottoms, and optional for the body and sleeves) cotton or viscose poplin, fine synthetic fabric (nylon-style), microfleece, or sherpa. Prefer synthetic materials for the sleeves (with optional wadding for winter).

Ribbed collar version: ribbing
